フルコンタクト空手他流派との友情のために2013年より続いているフルコンタクト空手大会の第4回大会が、WKOシンガポール支部により開催されました。
今年はシンガポール以外にもWKOインドネシア支部やタイ支部から、また、芦原会館や如水会館（デンマーク、シンガポール、フィリピン）を含む多数の他団体からも選手が集まり、合計55名の選手が参加しました。
WKOアジア地区理事のスジョト師範やアジア地区副会長の永島師範の他、他団体や企業からも来賓をお招きしました。
今大会は男子と少年部が体重別、女子が体重無差別・ワンマッチで行われ、少年部に関してはこれまでで最多の23名の選手が出場しました。
それぞれの階級で、白熱した試合が繰り広げられました。
大会翌日の6月12日にはスジョト師範によるセミナーが開催され、WKOシンガポール支部やタイ支部、他団体等合わせて81名の参加者が集まり、様々な基本や上級テクニックを行い交流しました。
この大会を通して、フルコンタクトのための友情、国際交流、青少年育成という目的を達成することができました。
来年のフルコンタクト空手のイベントもまた成功させたいと思います。
The 4th Singapore Full Contact Karate Championship 2016

WKO Singapore had hosted the 4th Full Contact Karate national tournament, with other full contact Karate styles for friendship since 2013.
This year we had fighters from not only Singapore but from other countries: Ashihara Karate International, Ashihara Kaikan Singapore, Josui Kaikan Denmark, Josui Kaikan Singapore, Josui Kaikan Philippines, Shinbudo Shinkyokushin club, WKO Indonesia, WKO Singapore and WKO Thailand.
We had invited VIPs such as Shihan Sujoto (WKO Asia Chairman), Shihan Nagashima (WKO Asia Vice President, Shizuoka & Thai Branch Chief) and Branch Chiefs from other Karate Styles such as Ashihara Kaikan Singapore, Ashihara Karate International, Karate–Do Union Singapore, Shinbudo, Sabaki Technique Tong Dojo and Shitoryu Karate Association Singapore, Singapore Martial Arts Instructor’s Association, Yamaha Singapore and Yamaha Thailand.
This year 2016 SFC tournament was for weight category for Male, Open one match for Female, and weight category for Junior fighters. This time was the most Junior fighters participated ever as 23 fighters.
Men’s 65kg and below- Bervyn Lim (WKO Singapore) as champion, has experience in Fighting for Singapore tournament as well as Asia tournament for several years. His counter punch had Knocked Down Kazuki Nakagawa (WKO Singapore, 2nd place) at Finals.
Men’s 75kg and below-Young and experienced fighter Jia Han Ray (WKO Singapore) became champion, it was very close fight vs Junichiro Honda (WKO Singapore) but towards the end, Jia Han got an opportunity to capture Honda with powerful inner kicks resulted the judges to raise Flags to him.
Men’s 85kg and below-Josui Kaikan Denmark European Champion, Daniel Neumann had challenged for Asia fighters this year in SFC. He had gone to finals vs Nyi Aung Win (WKO Singapore). Both had exchanged wide variety of techniques at 1st round but after the 1st Extension, Daniel threw more aggressive attacks, resulted he had captured the championship title.
Men’s 85kg and Above-Layche Nadji (WKO Thailand), won the title from much bigger and heavier fighter Ron Bernard (WKO Singapore).
Boys 12yrs and below- Kosuke Mine (Sinkyokushin club) had captured the championship title followed by last year SFC 2015.
Boys 13-17yrs and below- Adil N H Ariffin (WKOSS), young generation fighter had managed to won the champion title.
Male one match- Yi Xian Tan (WKOSS) 98kg vs Ee Zhuo Chew (WKOSS) 108kg, super heavy weight one match and was a seesaw struggling fight, as a result Yi Xian showed more aggressive spirit for gaining the championship title.
Female one match-
1. Grace Ng (WKO Singapore) vs Sarah Chen (Ashihara Kaikan Singapore)
After 1st extension winning by Judges decision for Grace Ng.
2. Emily Ang (WKOSS) vs Nicole Zhuang (WKO Singapore) 1st round as close fight after 1st extension still very close both exchanged aggressive techniques, however Emily Ang threw more effective attacks during the bout for her to win the championship title.
3. Nicky Yap (Josui Kaikan Singapore) vs Nila H (WKO Singapore), after the 1st extension, Nicky’s Jodan mawashigeri had captured Nila’s Knock Out.
4. Hana Williams (Shinkyoushin Club) vs Jacelynn R Koh (WKO Singapore), both girls showed great fighting spirits, towards the end Hana threw continuous Jodan mawashigeri resulted to gaining the championship title.
On next day of tournament, 12 Jun 2016, we had a Seminar conducted by Shihan Sujoto with 81 participants from mainly WKO Singapore but also from WKO Thailand, Ashihara Karate and other full contact karate organizations. We had exchanged various basic to advanced techniques one another through Shihan Sujoto’s lesson.
Throughout SFC 2016, we had successfully achieved all our objectives: Friendship for Full Contact Karateka, International Exchange, and Youth development, and we hope to challenge another successful Full Contact Karate event next year.
