第18回イラク新極真空手選手権大会が、2025年9月19日にバグダッド・スポーツセンターで開催されました。
大会は型および組手の２部門で行われ、シニア、ユース、ジュニアなどのカテゴリーに、バグダッド、カルバラ、ジカルの8加盟道場から100名近くが参加しました。特に今大会では、女性・女子カテゴリーが新たに創設されました。
型の見事な演武、そして高い技量と熱量の組手の試合が繰り広げられ、会場を埋めた観客や家族を大いに沸かせました。特にシニアカテゴリーの選手のレベルの向上が顕著でした。
熱戦の模様はアル・ラシード衛星チャンネルでテレビ中継され、選手、主催者、コーチや審判へのインタビューも放映されました。8時間に及んだ大会は、表彰式で幕を閉じ、トロフィーとメダル、および表彰状が全入賞者に授与されました。
The 18th Iraq Shinkyokushinkai Karate Championship

The 18th Iraq Shinkyokushin Karate Championship was held at the Baghdad Sports Center on September 19, 2025.
The championship featured kata and kumite divisions, with nearly 100 participants from 8 affiliated dojos in Baghdad, Karbala, and Dhi Qar, competing across categories including Senior, Youth, and Junior and so on. Notably, this championship introduced a new Women’s and Girls’ category.
Impressive kata performances and high-level, intense kumite match surprised the packed audience and brought joy to their families. There was noticeable improvement in the overall performance level of the athletes, with senior category competitors demonstrating strong competitiveness and skill.
The heated competition was televised on Al-Rasheed Satellite Channel, which also aired interviews with athletes, organizers, coaches, and referees. The eight-hour championship concluded with an awards ceremony, where trophies, medals, and certificates were presented to all successful participants.
