第2回リンポポ州大会を9月26日に開催しました。南アフリカの各地区及びスワジランドから137名の出場があり、体重別・年代別で覇を競いました。
また、WKO以外のフルコンタクト団体も参加したことで競技レベルが高く、試合も盛り上がりました。2009年の第1回に比べて大幅に成長した今大会が、今後も多くの方々のサポートにより、成長し続けられることを願っています。
The 2nd Limpopo Shinkyokushinkai Karate Championship

The Limpopo Shinkyokushinkai, under the leadership of sempai Medupi Robert Lechelele, WKO contact, hosted a very successful tournament on 26 September 2015. The tournament was attended by Shinkyokushinkai South Africa teams from Gauteng, Limpopo, North West and Kwa-Zulu Natal province. Swaziland Shinkyokushinkai team led by sensei Arnold Musa Simelane also attended with 16 competitors.
The event also received support from other organizations from North West Sun City led by Sensei Sihle Mabaso; Limpopo Shorin Kempo KaiKan led by sensei Molefi Moloto; and the Zimbabwe Karate Union team led by Sensei Samson Muripo and Sensei Kelvin Ben. The University teams that participated were Tshwane University of Technology, Sefako Makgatho University of Health Sciences and the University of Limpopo- the host.
The tournament had registered 137 competitors participating in both junior and senior weight categories and the spectators packing the hall to capacity. The championship was sponsored by the University of Limpopo-Turf loop campus sports bureau.
Shinkyokushinkai South Africa President Shihan Isaac Mashinini and Sempai Lechelele extend their gratitude to Mr. Thobakgale, the University of Limpopo karate team manager and the sports bureau for the support they always give to karate, for hosting and sponsoring this prestigious event. This event had succeeded in re-activating and re-uniting full contact karate in Limpopo, the province which used to be one of the strongest in full contact karate. Shihan Mashinini congratulated the fighters and the instructors for their commitment to the development and growth of the organization and the sport. He further expressed his satisfaction with the performance of all fighters for the great skills and determination they showed on the tatami, particularly those who will be competing in the 11th World Open Karate Championship. He congratulated all the students who were awarded their black belts for successfully passing the grading examination on 21 March 2015 at Mogwase, Rustenburg in North West Province.
We also give thanks to Karate South Africa Full Contact (KSA-FC) president Shihan Wandile Ncapai and the Secretary General Sensei Takalani Mbavhalelo for blessing the event with their presence.
The host, Sempai Lechelele would also like to thank all those who came to support the event from different organizations, provinces and countries. We hope this event will be much better and bigger in the following year as it proved to be growing and improving since the 1st championship was held in 2009.
