WKO Shinkyokushinkai Karate Bangladesh Summer Camp 2025
Date: July 11–13, 2025
Place: Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh
Organizer: WKO Bangladesh (Branch Chief: Shihan Abdullah Mohammad Hossain)
Number of Participants: 49 (including over 42 active participants, guests, and support staff)
The WKO Shinkyokushinkai Bangladesh Summer Camp 2025 was held in Cox’s Bazar from July 11 to 13, 2025, organized by KO Fight Studio. This marked the fourth annual national camp under the banner of WKO Bangladesh since its establishment in 2022. With a total of 49 attendees, this year’s edition became the largest Kyokushin summer camp ever conducted in Bangladesh, bringing together members and instructors from the Gulshan and Dhanmondi branches.
The purpose of the camp was to develop participants’ physical, mental, and technical capacities in Shinkyokushin Karate, and to strengthen unity and discipline within the community. Training was structured to meet international standards and focused on the four foundational elements of Shinkyokushin: Kihon (basics), Ido (movement), Kata (forms), and Kumite (sparring). Each day began with Zen meditation at dawn, followed by a five-kilometer run and intensive beach training. After breakfast, participants engaged in dedicated kata sessions from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Afternoon training resumed at 3:00 p.m. with a two-kilometer group walk leading to additional beach sessions that continued until sunset.
In addition to Shinkyokushin training, the camp included organized team-building activities such as Keiba, sumo wrestling, human chain races, star games, and low kick challenges. These games helped to build camaraderie, trust, and motivation among participants, and contributed to a well-rounded camp experience that extended beyond physical conditioning.
The camp saw participation from members across different age groups, including women and children, reflecting a diverse and inclusive environment aligned with the values of WKO. The event concluded with a Sayonara Dinner, during which Shihan Abdullah Mohammad Hossain delivered an inspirational speech encouraging continued discipline, personal growth, and commitment to the Shinkyokushin spirit.
This camp served not only as a high-level training platform but also as a celebration of community, perseverance, and the evolving standard of Shinkyokushin Karate in Bangladesh. The successful execution of the program demonstrated the growing strength and organizational capacity of WKO Shinkyokushinkai Bangladesh on both technical and structural levels.
