第8回シンガポール・フルコンタクト空手道選手権大会2025（SFC）が2025年7月20日にべドックコミュニティセンターで開催されました。
本大会は、新極真会シンガポール支部のパトリック・テオ支部長の監修の下、大会運営委員長は今回初めて女性リーダー、中村先生が努め、シンガポールにおけるフルコンタクト空手コミュニティの再統一に向けたさらなる飛躍を示す動きとなりました。
本年はシンガポール建国60周年の記念すべき節目でもあり、大会では地域の政治家で文化・コミュニティ・青年担当国務大臣のディネッシュ氏や、WKO新極真会アジア地区理事のスジョト師範を来賓にお迎えし、建国60周年の式典を行いました。さらに、60本のバット折り演武、主要フルコンタクト空手団体やスポンサー各位による記念メッセージのSNS配信、少年部による演武、シンガポール小児がん財団への寄付など、多彩な企画で大会に華を添えました。
大会には、シンガポール糸東流空手協会師範をはじめ、複数のフルコンタクト空手団体の師範やシンガポール極真会館のパイオニアら、多くのVIPが出席。スポンサーとしては、2014年から継続的にご支援いただいているヤマハ発動機ディストリビューション・シンガポール、ホンレオン・コーポレーション、ヤムス・トレジャー（シンガポール糸東流会員経営のレストラン）、ケオレオグラム（シンガポール新極真会会員経営の美容院）などからご協賛いただいた他、サフラ・コンテントクリエイタークラブ所属のフォトグラファーの皆さまに大会撮影にご協力いただきました。
大会は少年部から壮年部まで、他流派からも含め総計約50名以上が参加し熱戦を繰り広げました。特に10代・20代の若手選手たちの活躍に大きな注目が集まりました。
今後シンガポール支部は、選手レベルの一層の向上とシンガポールのフルコンタクト空手コミュニティのさらなる発展を目指します。
The 8th Singapore Full Contact Karate Championship 2025

The 8th Singapore Full Contact Karate Championship 2025 (SFC) was held on 20th July, 2025 at Bedok Community Centre Singapore. Under the leadership of Singapore Branch Chief Shihan Patrick Teo, the championship was successfully held, signifying a major step forward toward the renewed unification and advancement of the full contact karate community in Singapore. The Tournament Organizing Committee was chaired for the first time by a female leader, Sensei Nakamura.
This year is also a milestone—the 60th anniversary of Singapore’s independence. To commemorate this occasion, the tournament welcomed as guests Mr. Dinesh, Minister of State for Culture, Community and Youth, as well as Shihan Sujoto, WKO Shinkyokushinkai Asia Regional Chairman, and held a special ceremony to celebrate the nation’s 60th year. Highlights included a spectacular demonstration of breaking 60 baseball bats, commemorative video messages shared on social media from leading full contact karate organizations and sponsors, demonstration by the junior students, and a donation to the Children’s Cancer Foundation of Singapore, all of which added colour and meaning to the event.
The 8th tournament was attended by many VIPs, including the head instructor of the Shito-ryu Karate Association of Singapore, masters from multiple full contact karate organizations, and pioneers of Kyokushin Kai in Singapore. Sponsors such as Yamaha Motor Distribution Singapore (a long-term supporter since 2014), Hong Leong Corporation, Yam’s Treasure (a restaurant owned by a member of Shito-ryu Singapore), and Keolleogram (a salon owned by a member of Shinkyokushinkai Singapore) provided generous support through publicity, poster displays, and more. On the media front, nearly ten photographers from the SAFRA Content Creator Club contributed significantly by covering the event.
Competitors ranging from juniors to seniors took part in the tournament, with more than 50 participants from organizations including Kyokushinkan Singapore, Kyokushin Zenwakai, International Josuikai Singapore, Ton Sabaki Karate Dojo, and Shinkyokushinkai Singapore. The spirited matches especially highlighted the performances of the teenage and young adult competitors in their teens and twenties.
Looking ahead, the Singapore branch plans to further strengthen the player base with the aim of driving the continued growth of the full contact karate community in Singapore.
