2026年8月16日、シンガポール支部はセントジョーンズ本部 (医療教育・地域奉仕活動を中心とする、ボランティアによる福祉・慈善団体)にて、パトリック・テオ師範の指導による特別空手セミナーを開催し、70名が参加しました。基本、移動、型、組手を通し、精神鍛錬はもちろんのこと、普段は得られない貴重な技術を習得する充実したセミナーとなりました。
この日のハイライトとして、パトリック師範の熱心な弟子であり、セントジョーンズ本部のコローネル（大佐/大隊長）兼会長を務めるアーロン・タン氏が、本イベントにチャリティ活動を快く盛り込み、技術の向上だけでなく社会還元を果たす特別な一日へと導いてくれました。
さらにアーロン氏は中国系メディアの記者(新明日報)を招待し、今回の慈善活動と併せて、バリ島で開催予定の「第20回 新極真会アジア選手権大会」についてのイベント発表を大きく取り上げてもらいました。
節目となるこの大会に向けてさらに準備を進めてまいりますので、今後の続報にご期待ください。
WKO Singapore Seminar & Charity Event

On 16th August 2026, WKO Singapore hosted a special Karate Seminar led by Shihan Patrick Teo at St. John Headquarters, with 70 participants taking part — a fantastic session filled with knowledge, discipline, and Kyokushin Spirit. Through kihon, ido, kata, and kumite, participants not only strengthened their spirit but also gained valuable techniques that are not usually available in regular training, making it a highly fulfilling seminar.
A heartfelt highlight of the day: Aaron Tan, a dedicated student of Shihan Patrick and Colonel/Chairman at St. John, generously incorporated a charity initiative into the event, making it a day of giving back as well as growth.
Aaron also invited members of the Chinese press (Shinmin) to cover the occasion, spotlighting both his charitable contribution and an exciting announcement — our upcoming WKO 20th Asia championship in Bali.
