1月27日～2月1日の期間、西ベンガル県スポーツ省の要請を受け、WKOインド支部主催の女性向け無料護身術ワークショップを開催しました。
イベントではシバヤン･ガングリー指導員が中心となり、護身術の基本技術や方法論を指導、参加者からの相談や日常生活への取り入れ方のアドバイス等を行い、約100名が受講、大きな成功を収めました。
この催しはメディアからも高い関心を呼び、フルコンタクト空手が護身にも役立つということで新極真会のイメージアップにもつながりました。
インド支部では、西ベンガル各地で同様の無料ワークショップを計画しており、新極真の認知度アップのため定期的にこのような活動を行っていく予定です。

From 27th Jan to 1st Feb, WKO India branch held the free self defense workshop for women.
The event was inaugurated and supported by Honorable Sports Minister of West Bengal.
Under the supervision of Branch Chief, Mr. Shibayan Ganguly, the instructor of India headquarter have coordinated the whole workshop. The curriculum of the workshop were Basic techniques for self defense, basic self defense methods, General Counseling and use of day to day commodities.
There were over 100 participants during the period and the event was tremendously successful.
This has greatly up lifted the image of our organization in the society and has made prominent the utility of Full Contact karate in self defense . It was intensely covered by the Media .
We are making it a regular feature of our promotion movement and will be organizing such free workshops all over West Bengal and India.
